Myrror Privacy Policy

Myrror is built so that this policy can be short. The app runs entirely on your device. There are no accounts, no servers, and no analytics services. We designed it this way on purpose, and this document mostly exists to say so plainly.

What we collect

Nothing. Myrror has no backend. Nothing you type, plan, log, or discard is transmitted to us or to anyone else. We cannot see your data, and we have no mechanism that could.

What stays on your device

Everything you create in Myrror — your captures, plans, logged time, tags, budgets, and settings — is stored in a local database on your device. Your written content (captured thoughts, notes, and descriptions) is additionally encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption, with the key held in your device's secure Keychain.

Your data leaves your device only when you send it somewhere yourself:

Calendar access

If you grant calendar permission, Myrror reads your device calendar to show your existing commitments alongside your plans. This access is read-only. Calendar data is displayed, never copied into Myrror's database, and never transmitted anywhere.

Diagnostics

Myrror includes an optional diagnostics setting, off by default. When enabled, it records content-free technical events on your device — things like feature usage counts and timings, never the text you write. These records stay on your device, are pruned after 90 days, and are deleted entirely if you delete your data. The only way a diagnostic summary reaches us is if you choose to send it yourself through your device's share sheet.

Deleting your data

Your data lives in the app on your device. Deleting the app deletes everything. There is no copy on a server, because there is no server.

This also means we cannot recover your data for you, and requests to access, correct, or delete personal data have nothing to act on — we hold none.

During beta testing

While Myrror is distributed through Apple's TestFlight, Apple may provide us with crash logs and any feedback you submit through TestFlight, under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. This is Apple's collection, not ours, and it ends when beta testing does.

This website

myrror.life is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel may keep standard server logs of requests to the site (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) under its own privacy policy. We do not use those logs, and the site itself sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from third parties.

Children

Myrror is not directed at children under 13, and — as described above — collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If Myrror ever changes in a way that affects this policy — which would mean changing the architecture described above — we will update this page and change the effective date. The current version always lives at myrror.life/privacy.
